Society of Latin American Studies Conference
Keynote speakers: Peter Hulme (University of Essex) and Francine Masiello (University of California, Berkeley)
The 2003 Annual Conference of the Society for Latin American Studies took place at Hulme Hall, University of Manchester, from 11 to 13 April 2003.
The conference organisers, Jon Beasley-Murray, Paul Cammack and Peter Wade, called for proposals for whole symposia on any subject or theme related to Latin America. The conference covered the spectrum from arts and cultural studies to history and the social sciences; interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and post-disciplinary symposia were also welcome. See below for a timetable and list of panels.
The 2004 SLAS conference will be held in Leiden, the Netherlands; see the SLAS website for more details.
