jehan
Jehan graduated with a PhD in translation studies in 2004. She works at Abu Dhabi University, United Arab Emirates, where she is Rector of the University College
My decision to pursue my doctoral degree at the University of Manchester was motivated by the fact that the University is internationally recognized as one of the best universities in the UK, if not the world, and the fact that CTIS, supported by the dedication and consistently excellent service of its staff members, enjoys an established reputation as a top teaching and research-led centre. During my study as a postgraduate student, I was rewarded with a unique educational experience that indeed helped in shaping the way I see and interact with the world and my potential impact on it.

Immediately after the completion of my PhD in 2004, I joined the Department of English at Abu Dhabi University (United Arab Emirates) as an Assistant Professor of Translation. I have been promoted during the last four years to become the Rector of the University College and the Acting Director of Accreditation.

Some of the highlights of my student life in Manchester include mingling and associating with people from different cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs, showing respect to cultural diversity and appreciating the uniqueness and individuality of each person.
