An Analysis of Post-Soviet Russian Television Culture

Prof. Stephen Hutchings was awarded a second AHRB Research Grant (£165,000) to investigate post-Soviet Russian Television Culture. The Research Fellow on the project until July 2006 was Dr Natalia Rulyova. As of 1st of July, Dr Oxana Poberejnaia assumed this position. The project began in April 2004.     Prof. Stephen Hutchings was awarded a supplementary grant (£10,500) to his second AHRB Research Grant to investigate post-Soviet Russian Television Culture. For further details, please see the:

  • Under the auspices of this grant a series of three public debates are being organized. These will involve prominent print, television and new media journalists as well as academics from the USA, Russia, and Western Europe. The debates will be held sequentially in the first half of 2007, in Manchester, Birmingham and London.
