MA students in German Studies can design their own tailor-made programme within our new research-route MA in Languages and Cultures. Students may specialise in any of the research specialisms offered by staff in German Studies, including: classical and Romantic literature; twentieth-century and contemporary German studies; culture and dictatorship; women's writing; diaspora and migration studies; German-Jewish studies; cinema; Holocaust studies; language and totalitarianism; architecture and politics.

Our new research-route MA in Languages Cultures replaces the subject-specific and thematic MA pathways which were previously available on the MA in European Languages and Cultures. For full details of the programme, see MA in Languages and Cultures.

For a full listing of staff research interests in German Studies, see our research pages

MA Linguistics

MA Languages and Linguistics
