Houchang Chehabi is Professor of International Relations and History at the Department of International Relations (Boston University). He has taught at Harvard, Oxford, and UCLA, and has held Alexander von Humboldt and Woodrow Wilson fellowships. He is the author of Iranian Politics and Religious Modernism: The Liberation Movement of Iran under the Shah and Khomeini (1990); and Distant Relations: Iran and Lebanon in the Last 500 Years (2006).
