Film Screening and presentation by Israeli director Eyal Sivan (Organised by Action Palestine and co-hosted by Middle Eastern Studies and the Centre for the Advanced Study of the Arab World)

Renowned Israeli filmmaker Eyal Sivan will present and discuss "Route 181". This memorable documentary follows the journey of an Israeli and a Palestinian who travel the virtual line borders of UN Resolution 181, which partitioned Palestine into two states in 1947.  Along this route they encounter Israelis and Palestinians, young and old, civilians and soldiers, and film them in their everyday lives.

Eyal Sivan is a distinguished Israeli director and producer. He is a lecturer in Film Studies at the University of East London. Sivan has won numerous awards including the Cinéma du Réel Prize. He is also the founder of the Paris-based production company Momento.
