Personal Development Plan (PDP)

Information for First Year Students

Your Personal Development Plan (PDP) is a record of your progress through University. It encourages you to focus on your skills as a learner and to take responsibility for your own skill development. It is primarily about assessing your own skills, setting goals for improvement, recording your achievements and reflecting on your experiences at the University of Manchester. The information you collect should help you identify your strengths and weaknesses.

A link to the online PDP questionnaire will be sent to you in week 7 of Semester 1 and before Easter in Semester 2 by your Undergraduate Support Officer.  Once you have completed the questionnaire, it will be sent to your Academic Advisor.  The completed questionnaires will form the basis for discussion at meetings with your Academic Advisor.
