Postgraduate taught courses in Italian Studies
MA students in Italian Studies can design their own tailor-made programme within our new research-route MA in Languages and Cultures. Students may specialise in any of the research specialisms offered by staff in Italian Studies, covering an exciting and diverse range of cultural activity from the early Middle Ages to the 21st century and including: medieval studies; Italian linguistics; twentieth-century poetry; culture and dictatorship; Italian Fascism; and translation.
Our new research-route MA in Languages Cultures replaces the subject-specific and thematic MA pathways which were previously available on the MA in European Languages and Cultures. For full details of the programme, see MA in Languages and Cultures.
For a full listing of staff research interests in Italian Studies, see our research pages.
Alternatively, students with an interest in language, linguistics, or translation and interpreting, or with an interest in more professionally oriented MA programmes, may pursue Italian topics within the following taught MA programmes:
MA Intercultural Communication
MA Translation and Interpreting Studies
